Your vehicles are one of the biggest purchases you’ll make — and most people leave them sitting outside, taking a beating from the weather every single day. UV rays fade paint and crack dashboards. Hail leaves dents you didn’t budget for. Heavy snow crushes roof panels, and salt and moisture quietly eat away at metal underneath. On top of that, vehicles stored outdoors depreciate significantly faster than those kept under cover, directly impacting your resale value.
That’s where we come in. At Bargain Metal Buildings, we build custom-engineered metal carports designed for your specific climate and professionally installed on your property. We’re not shipping you a generic kit and wishing you luck — we engineer every carport for your exact ZIP code’s weather requirements, factoring in local wind load ratings, snow load capacity, and environmental conditions. Pick the size that fits your vehicles, choose from a wide range of customization options, and we take care of everything from delivery to full installation. The result? Decades of low-maintenance protection that keeps your vehicles looking good and holding their value.

$2,995 on one site. $15,000 on another. You've got three vehicles that need covering and zero patience left for the pricing circus, and neither site explains what's actually included or whether "free nationwide delivery" covers your zip code or just theirs.
While you sort through the noise, your vehicles are taking a beating. UV rays fade the paint, a bad hailstorm could cost thousands, and the fabric covers or pop-up canopies you tried already shredded in the first windstorm.
Our 3-car carports start at $2,995 for a basic 26×21 regular roof model and run up to $18,000-plus for fully customized builds, with free delivery and installation across all 50 states. Call us at (866) 941-4072 or schedule a free consultation for a real number on your exact location.
Standard 3-car carports range from 26 to 30 feet wide, with 26×21 being the most popular starting size. That width gives three sedans or compact SUVs enough room to park with doors swinging open comfortably, and the 21-foot depth handles typical passenger vehicles with clearance to spare on both ends.
But "standard" only matters if you're parking standard vehicles. Trucks, full-size SUVs, or plans to tuck a boat or RV under the same roof? Different story entirely. We offer widths of 26, 28, and 30 feet, lengths from 21 to 41+ feet, and heights from 6 to 14 feet.
Here's the smart way to size yours: measure each vehicle at its widest and longest points. Add 2–3 feet between vehicles so nobody's squeezing through doors sideways, plus 2 feet on each outer edge. For height, measure the tallest vehicle (roof racks, antennas — all of it) and tack on at least 12 inches of clearance.
A 26-foot width handles three compact to mid-size cars nicely — roughly 8.5 feet per vehicle. It's our most budget-friendly option and fits standard residential lots without dominating your property.
Go with 28 feet if you've got larger sedans, crossovers, or a truck mixed in with a couple of cars. Those extra 2 feet make a bigger difference than you'd think when you're climbing in and out every day.
Thirty feet is what you want for three trucks, full-size SUVs, or when you just prefer generous spacing. It's also the sweet spot for storing two vehicles plus an RV, boat, or trailer.
Our standard 21-foot length works for most passenger vehicles. Need more? We go to 26, 31, 36, and 41 feet. A 31-foot length is great for extended-cab trucks or if you want room for a workbench or storage at one end. Storing an RV or boat? Measure total length — hitches, bumpers, everything — then add 2–3 feet.
Standard 6-foot leg height covers most sedans just fine. Lifted trucks, tall SUVs, and RVs need more room overhead. We offer leg heights of 6, 7, 8, 9, 10, 12, and 14 feet. Measure ground to highest point on your tallest vehicle and add at least 12 inches.
Our 3-car carports range from $2,995 for a basic 26×21 regular roof model to $18,000+ for a fully customized vertical roof structure with enclosed sides and engineered certifications. That price includes delivery and installation — no hidden fees, no surprise charges tacked on at the end.
Why such a wide range? Because a basic open-sided carport in mild weather country is a completely different animal from a fully enclosed structure engineered for 150 mph winds or heavy snow loads. Your final investment depends on size, roof style, customizations, and whatever your local building codes demand.
A 26×21 regular roof carport starts at approximately $2,995. Step up to a 28×26 and you're typically looking at $4,500–$6,500 depending on roof style. A 30×31 structure generally runs $6,000–$9,000, and extended 30×41 models built for RV storage start around $8,500–$12,000.
Roof style has a real impact on price. Regular roof — that's the rounded horizontal panel design — costs the least and works well in areas without heavy snow or extreme wind. Boxed eave roof adds structural strength and typically adds $500–$1,200 to your base price.
Then there's vertical roof, our premium and strongest design. The vertical panel orientation lets rain, snow, and debris slide right off — which makes it a must-have in heavy snowfall regions. Expect to pay 15–30% more than regular roof equivalents, but the long-term protection is worth every cent.
Steel gauge thickness plays a big role in both price and longevity. We use 14-gauge steel as our standard commercial-grade material. For extreme weather areas, 12-gauge offers enhanced strength — at a higher cost, naturally.
Wind and snow load ratings are engineered specifically for your location's building codes. Coastal properties with hurricane exposure need higher wind load certifications (up to 170 mph), while northern regions require snow load ratings of 35+ pounds per square foot.
Customizations add up too — side panels, end closures, garage doors, windows, upgraded colors. Once you fully enclose a 3-car carport, you've essentially got a metal garage with maximum security and weather protection.
Every quote includes delivery to your location anywhere in the United States and professional installation by our certified crews. That means complete setup, leveling, and anchoring — whether you're on concrete, asphalt, or using ground anchors based on your site conditions.
We also provide certified engineered drawings stamped for your state and county, which you'll need for permit applications. And your carport comes backed by our industry-leading warranty covering rust-through and structural integrity.
Yes — we provide free delivery and installation across all 50 states with no hidden service area restrictions or surprise fees. Maine to Hawaii, Alaska to Florida. Your quoted structure price is your total price.
When you request a quote, we immediately confirm delivery availability for your specific address and give you an estimated timeline. No ambiguity. You'll know exactly when your carport arrives, and installation is genuinely included at zero extra cost.
Our professional crew shows up at your property, unloads everything, assembles your carport on-site, and anchors it securely to manufacturer specs and local code requirements. You don't lift a finger.
Most installations take 4–8 hours depending on structure size. Our crews bring all necessary equipment, level the structure properly, and make sure every connection is tight. We anchor to existing concrete or asphalt with expansion bolts, or install ground anchors if your carport sits on soil or gravel.
Typical delivery runs 2–8 weeks from order confirmation, depending on location and whether you're going with a standard size or custom configuration. Standard sizes often ship faster since they're manufactured in higher volume.
Geography matters here. Customers in the Southeast and South Central regions often see 2–4 week delivery. West Coast, Northeast, and Alaska typically run 4–8 weeks. Hawaii deliveries take 6–10 weeks due to ocean shipping logistics.
Absolutely — our 3-car carports can be customized up to 30 feet wide and 41+ feet long with heights up to 14 feet, which handles RVs, boats, and lifted trucks right alongside your daily drivers. A lot of our customers pick 3-car width structures specifically for that versatility.
For RV storage, measure from front bumper to rear ladder or spare tire mount, then add 2–3 feet. A typical Class A motorhome at 35 feet long needs at least a 38-foot carport length. Height matters just as much — Class A motorhomes often hit 11–13 feet tall with roof air conditioners, so you're looking at 13–14 foot leg height.
Same principles apply to boats. Measure your boat on its trailer from hitch to stern, including swim platforms or outboard motors. Get the height from ground to highest point — windshield, tower, or Bimini top.
One of our most popular configurations? A 30×41 vertical roof carport that fits two cars on one side with an RV or boat on the other. Year-round protection for the daily drivers, and your recreational gear stays ready for the weekend.
Do I need a permit for a 3-car carport? Most locations require building permits for structures of this size. We provide certified engineered drawings stamped for your state and county to simplify the permit application process.
How long does a metal carport last? Our galvanized steel carports with protective coating typically last 20–30+ years with minimal maintenance — far outlasting fabric or wood alternatives.
Can I enclose my carport later? Yes. Our carports are designed to accommodate future enclosures. You can add side panels, end walls, and garage doors at any time to convert your open carport into a fully enclosed garage.
What foundation do I need? We anchor to concrete, asphalt, or ground using the appropriate anchoring system for each surface. Concrete provides the most stable foundation, but ground anchors work well for soil installations.
Can I customize colors? Yes — we offer a range of color options for roof, trim, and walls beyond our standard selections. Custom colors may add to the base price depending on your choices.
We are relentlessly focused on offering our clients the best customer service, best lead times, and best prices in the industry. All of our steel buildings are made in the United States, fully customizable, and have excellent warranties.
